End of the First Quarter

I am heading up to the northern Lower Peninsula today, and will be there through Thursday, so the blog will be on hiatus until then.

No internet, email, etc. Yes, TV/DVD. So, in addition to meditating by the lake, and practicing my kung fu, I will be doing alot of reminiscing with the aid of film. In the meantime, take the sports challenge.

Let me know how you did!

You missed a lot while you were gone. Besides the steroids, there was the Millen five year extension, the Farnsworth trade, Bonderman losing to Oakland in the middle of a losing streak, plus Drew Rosenhaus paid Allen Park a visit, tons of Red Wings signings, and rumors that Chris Osgood may once again wear the winged wheel.

As a Cubbie fan, I can tell you when Rafi was dumped by the Cubs in 1989-90 the rumor was he was a druggie......

Wow,
Alot to catch up on. I'll get my dose of sports over the weekend, an be ready to roll with my informed and educated opinion come Sunday.

First impressions:

Tigers were right to trade Kyle if he refused a fair offer. JB disappointed me by not stopping the bleeding, especially against the team he wanted to show up for. Eddie Drummond is back in camp, and poised for another Pro Bowl caliber season. The Red Wings will barely make the playoffs this year.

The latest research on steroids shows that, unlike the previously held position that people took steroids for the muscle building effects, it has now been demonstrated that steroids, much like recreational drugs, have an addictive component to them...
